My love! When I decided to make you mine,
From the beginning I knew, everything would be absolutely fine,
For loving you intensely,is my only desire,
As you are the only one, whom I admire.
You love me or not,it depends upon you,
But my love for you is really true,
Even in your sorrows,I will leave you never,
If you be my queen,I will be yours forever.
You are my sunshine on a cloudy day,
And a smile on my face, when I’m gray,
You give me comfort, you ease my pain,
Winning your heart is my only gain.
You accept me or not,it’s for you to see,
But I know for sure, that you are made for me,
Together towards heaven our journey will start,
I pray to God, ‘Till death do us part!’

About the poem:The above poem is in the form of a dramatic monologue.A dramatic monologue is a kind of lyric poem in which an imagined speaker addresses a silent listener, usually not the reader.Dramatic in the sense, having a theatrical quality; that is,the poem is meant to be read to an audience.Monologue means that these are the words of one solitary speaker with no dialogue coming from any other characters. The English Victorian poet Robert Browning is best known for his dramatic monologues. His poems were my inspiration when I wrote this.
